Muscle Mend Myotherapy is a myotherapy clinic that was established in 2023. Muscle Mend Myotherapy was founded by Olivia Osborne, who wanted to create awareness that pain is not normal and have the ability to help people with their muscular pain, especially chronic muscular pain. Our aim is to get you back doing, what you love to do
Olivia is registered Myotherapist and a current member of the Massage Association of Australia. Olivia completed her studies of her Advanced Diploma of Myotherapy in 2021.

Myotherapy Treatment
Myotherapy involves musculoskeletal conditions and the assessment, treatment and management of them . Myotherapy treatments are designed to create intervention, prevention and treatment of injuries. They also play a crucial role in the ongoing management of chronic musculoskeletal conditions that could have a detrimental impact on one’s quality of life.

Dry Needling
Dry needling is a popular treatment technique used to treat acute and chronic muscular conditions. Dry needling is commonly used to address lower back pain, neck pain, headaches,
sciatic pain and much more. Dry needling can also be used to switch off overactive muscles that are causing pain and to switch on under-active muscles to ensure the muscle work in the body is balanced out.

Pregnancy Massage
Pregnancy massage if offered to support and care for expectant mothers throughout their pregnancy journey. Both table and seated massages are available and can tailor the treatment to the stage of pregnancy. To ensure comfort for both mother and baby, all massages are performed with the mother in a side-lying position with the use of large, comfortable pillows.

What can you expect?
At your initial Myotherapy treatment a detailed record of your medical history including any medications you take, any past surgeries and any significant illnesses will be discussed. Everything will stay confidential in all appointments. A physical assessment will be performed on your injury or condition before treatment of your condition. Treatment is most commonly performed with a hands on approach which may include massage techniques, dry needling or mobilisation.
How is dry needling different?
Dry needling is a western treatment option performed by placing needles into taut muscle fibres. Acupuncture is based on Eastern Chinese medicine treatment focusing on your body’s meridians.
Contraindication For Needling:
